  • Winner of Grand Prix Special with 79,702% at World Cup Herning
  • International wins in Herning, ’s-Hertogenbosch and Uggerhalne
  • Elite Stallion in Danish Warmblood at age 9
  • Offspring have competed in the World Championships for Young Horses and at CDI's
  • Carries some of the best KWPN bloodlines

  • Don Olymbrio made his international Grand Prix debut in 2017, and despite the stallion's young age he won several major international competitions in 2018.

  • In 2019 he progressed by leaps with an impressive 11th place on FEI's world ranking in dressage by the end of the competition year. This might have something to do with him scoring over 80% in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the World Cup show in Amsterdam and over 82% in the Grand Prix Freestyle in Herning, followed by more success at World Cup 's-Hertogenbosch where he achieved over 84%. He also took passed more than 80% in the Grand Prix Freestyle at the five-star CHIO Aachen, and secured a double victory at the World Cup Herning in October 2019.

    - He is always very charming and sometimes a bit cheeky, but he comes through when it really matters", says Don Olymbrios former rider Daniel Bachmann AndersenHe is quite spirited but he is an incredibly sweet horse and in the daily training I tend to forget that he is actually a breeding stallion. He brings a natural smoothness and gentleness to the training.

  • Blue Hors rider Agnete Kirk Thinggaard took on Blue Hors Don Olymbrio in the late 2019, and she has high expectations for their partnership.

    - I am very grateful to be able to ride Don Olymbrio and I feel that we fit well
, says Agnete. He is quite sweet and affectionate, and we work well together so I will hopefully pursue my Olympic dreams with him.

Pedigree Performance

  • Don O's talent for the difficult exercises is not inherited from strangers - both his sire Jazz, and grand sire, Ferro, have competed at the highest level, representing the Netherlands at the World Championships in dressage. Sire Jazz dominated the WBFSH-ranking for dressage sires for many years. Jazz is probably the most influential Dutch breeding stallion of the past 25-30 years. He has sired a large number of licensed sons and elite mares, but the number of horses in the topsport is what makes him particularly valuable in the breeding of riding horses.

  • Grand sire Ferro and his rider Coby van Baalen won team silver at the Olympic Games in 2000 and Ferro has founded his own stallion-line in the Netherlands, which has given the world stallions like Rousseau, Metall, Rhodium and Special D. Like Jazz, Ferro has produced many successful dressage horses. His offspring are characterized by a convincing ability to collect, which is a very important quality for a dressage horse.

  • Don Olymbrio originates from one of the most successful Dutch dam lines (Family 145), which has also given the Rubinstein-son OO Seven and Edward Gal's Grand Prix horse Voice (b. De Niro), which has taken several Grand Prix victories and placings. Among other victories, the pair won the 2015 World Cup qualifier. Furthermore, the Grand Prix horses Celiton, Kadans and Olympic Babria, winner of the team silver at the Olympic Games in Atlanta 1996 with Tineke Bartels, originate from this line. The great grand dam Ezabria won the Dutch Championships as a 3-year-old.

  • It is no secret that Don Olymbrio is lacking a couple of hands all over, but the breeders have been exceptionally great at taking that into account when matching him to their mares. Don O has shown himself as a great match to the classic dressage mares of german bloodlines like those by Blue Hors Hotline, Blue Hors Don Romantic, etc.

  • Don Olymbrio was crowned Elite Stallion by Danish Warmblood in autumn 2016 at the age of 9. He has sired several licensed stallions, including premium stallions UNO Don Olympic and Blue Horse Dreamline, as well as D'Olympus from the Celle State Stud in Germany. He is also the sire of many medal-winning mares.

  • For the past eight years he has sired foals that perform extremely well at foal shows and auctions. Don Olymbrio's daughter Remember Me was named Filly of the Year at the Danish Warmblood Elite Show in 2018, and was sold at the Elite Foal Auction to an international Grand Prix rider for 80,000 €.

  • Many of his offspring have stood out at young horse championships, and several older offspring are making a name for themselves in sport. UNO Don Olympic represented Denmark at the World Championship in Ermelo and has demonstrated talent for international competition with his rider Anna Zibrandtsen. And daughter Silhuet competes internationally under Cecilie Hedegaard for Denmark
