Valbonne and Emelie Brolin

The former breeding stallion Valbonne (Blue Hors Zack / Epson) who was successfully ridden by Swedish Emelie Brolin at the World Championships for Young Horses in 2018 and in Swedish classes with over 80% this year is now installed in the stable at Patrik Kittel’s yard in Germany. The Danish bred Blue Hors Zack-son Sezuan is also trained there.

Patrik Kittel has represented Sweden at the Olympic Games both in 2008, 2012 and 2016.

In Denmark Kittel is best known as the test rider at the Blue Hors Young Horse Championship in Herning in both 2018 and 2019. Here he rode several horses who had Blue Hors Zack as sire or damsire.

That he has now purchased the 6-year old Swedish horse Bjergsjöholms Valbonne, bred by Stall Bjergsjöholm v/Marita Strauch, is therefore no coincidence. It is Patrik Kittel’s Japanese business partner Masahiro Kosaka who is the purchaser of the horse.

We have a new star in the family, Valbonne, who we call ‘Valle’. I am so happy to have a new candidate for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, states Kittel in connection with the purchase.
