Succesful Kingston-sons at the KWPN stallion selection

The Dutch KWPN stallion selection of 2022 has now been held - and here, our own Blue Hors Kingston has had three offspring selected - and all three sons have just been approved for breeding!

Our breeding stallion, Blue Hors Kingston (Glock's Toto Jr. - Turbo Magic - Flemmingh, breeder: J. Zeewuster), born in 2015, had his first breeding season in 2018. This means that his first crop of foals, those born in 2019, will be 3 years old this year, and therefore ready to line up for the stallion and mare selections around the various breeding associations. Kingston began his breeding career in the Netherlands as a three year old stallion, and we are therefore expecting to see several Dutch-born sons of daughters by Kingston at licensings and selections this year.

 

On the 5th and 6th of February 2022, the KWPN Stallion Show was being held in Ermelo in the Netherlands, where Kingston had the following three sons participating in the showing process to become approved stallions:

  • Catalog number 511: Omega (Kingston - Vivaldi, breeder: Fam. Andeweg & Ad Valk)
  • Catalog number 512: Olivier (Kingston - Florencio, breeder: W.M. Van Der AA)
  • Catalog number 513: O ’Connor AF (Kingston - Florencio, breeder: L. Van Aaken)


With the approval of all three sons, Kingston's first crop of selected stallions in Holland, has all been approved and of course we want to wish a big congratulations to all breeders and owners of these three beautiful stallions!

Olympus VDT

Blue Hors Romanov-son approved

Blue Hors Romanov has also been represented at the stallion selection in Ermelo with, among others, his son; catalog number 531 Olympus VDT (Romanov - Ferro, breeder: A. Van De Tillaart), who is an impressive stallion of a beautiful format, who also obtained his approval in the KWPN breeding association.

Olympus VDT was also part of the KWPN Select Sale auction during the Stallion Show. Here he became the auction topseller after a fierce bidding duel between various Dutch bidders who drove the price up to a whopping 140,000 euros, making Olympus VDT, who is a half-brother to My Toto VDT, the most expensive-selling dressage horse in the KWPN Select Sale.
