Blue Hors Baron

Baron is a fantastic stallion who without a problems convinced both Jens (ed: Meyer) and I with his abilities in both breeding and sport. There is no doubt that he will be an exciting addition to this year's stallion collection - and we are excited about the opportunity to be able to present him to all our breeders and the Danish audience as soon as possible

Baron, sired by BenicioSir Donnerhall IFriedenfürst, is from 2013 and measures 170 cm. He is bred by Albrecht Middelkampf in Germany, is found WFFS negative and will be stationed at Blue Hors, where he will be available on chilled semen.

Baron is out of a stallion line that is known for inheriting rideability, dressage talent, unlimited movement potential with maximum shoulder freedom and hind leg activity as well as elasticity and rideability in a class of their own. He is also the father of several selected mares and stallions such as the Hanoverian stallion Bachelor and the mare Bonsai (BaronRoyal ClassicWolkentanz II), bred by Irmgard Schmidt and who was titled winning mare and ‘Best Mare of the Day’ by the Hanoverian Association at the mare grading competition in Grindsted with the grades 9 for walk, 9 for trot, 10 for canter, 9 for rideability and 9.5 by test rider. Bonsai has been a very big factor in the purchase of Baron, since the mare has been taking away all of the Blue Hors personel’s breath with her outstanding and unmatched potential.

Baron - Now back in Denmark!

Baron started his career in Denmark in the spring of 2016, where he obtained approval in Danish Warmblood at the stallion licensing in Herning. He then passed, in continuation of his approval, his 10-day test, just as in the autumn of 2016 he also passed his 35-day test. In the spring of 2017, he obtained his final approval in Danish Warmblood in Herning, where only three other 4-year-old stallions, besides Baron, obtained their final breeding approval. On all occasions, Baron convinced both the judges and the audience with his high degree of rideability, interior values and three more than excellent basic gaits.

Until now, Baron has been part of the Gestüt Westfalenhof’s stallion collection, as their crown-prince to Belissimo M, but now he is back in Denmark, and we are more than excited about this purchase!
